Day 0 Tue, Jul 29, 2025, 04:55 PM
Today was our first real walkthrough of the property — stepping inside for the first time and seeing the disaster up close. Is this the new reality: pay a premium, get a demonium?
The house is rough. Floors are buried, walls are optional, and the roof looks like it was attacked by a weather beast. Old wood paneling covers most walls, and nearly every part of it feels like it was last updated in a different decade — several, actually. Nothing here has been cared for in a long time.
But still — there’s potential. Should I make an offer? This could be an amazing flip, a path to mortgage freedom, or a nest of hidden nightmares.
If we go for it, it’ll be a complete strip-down to the bones. A rebuild with care and intention. The house won’t just be restored — it’ll be rethought. Everything from the layout to the materials to how the space is used is up for revision. It’s a challenge, but it’s also the point.
This site will track the full process: the hard decisions, daily grind, detours, and small wins that add up to something bigger. If you’re following along from the start — welcome.
A first look
Here’s a walkthrough video from today’s visit. It’s raw, falling apart, and full of problems — but it also has a certain pull.
More soon — that is, if we make an offer.
